If Cristiano Ronaldo Was Ever An Indian Footballer?

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo

The charismatic Portuguese International is one of the finest players the world has ever seen. The player who has a fan following all around the world has achieved almost everything which other protagonist in his field failed to do and that to in a short period of time. The talent with his is just incredible and I have specially assumed him to be part of the Indian Team because he is always bound with controversies and that’s perfect to fit in Indian Sporting Scenario.  I would love to mention some things which would have happened if he even became a part of Indian National Team:

The star in the blue jersey has all started waving his magic for the national team. Soon his popularity has reached skies and has become more popular than Sachin Tendulkar (but still far behind Rajnikanth).  The people have all turned their attention from cricket to Football. The media has all rounded up and is trying to know what Ronaldo is trying to do and get some gossips to increase the TRP of there shows. Some of the series of things which would have happened are as follows:

Cristiano Ronaldo linked up with Bipasha Basu:

If any sportsmen are popular in India then they have to be ultimately linked up with a Bollywood star. So Cristiano Ronaldo already once linked with Bipasha Basu it is perfect to build this relationship in my virtual scenario. The Media would have been keen to take comments from John Abraham rather than Cristiano Ronaldo or Bipasha Basu, then that comment would have been used as the oil in the fire to build up stories.

Cristiano Ronaldo in a reality show:

The television producers would have taken this opportunity to increase the TRP of there channel and would have come up with a reality show naming ‘Is Jungle Se muje bachao’ where the player will be in a forest house for around a period of two months and there he would been captured bathing in his innerwear and would have used that video for promotion of both the show and the channel. This would have also resulted his absence in the training sessions and would have again been bound with controversies for that.

Cristiano Ronaldo in a rally with Congress:

If popular and are with controversies that means one has all the qualities to become a Indian Politician. Then he would have been automatically part of a political party and would have given a speech where he would have claimed that “In his childhood he never had a ground to play, but when congress came to the rule he got a football ground and that is why he has reached this heights today”. He would have appealed the masses to vote for congress.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s  becomes a father:

When recently the news was out that Cristiano Ronaldo has become a father a huge roar was created in media. So I decided to include this in my virtual scenario. After becoming a part of a political party one has to automatically face criticism and oppositions. There would have been a special news episode to find out who is the mother of that kid. In that special episode they would bring a tarot card reader to give her predictions on this. The other political parties would have slated it to against Indian Culture and would have burned his photos and there would have been a Strike for a day in the country.

In the End Cristiano hang his boots.

This must have seemed to be funny but this is what happens in India. The reason behind this article was not to show the negativity in India. This was a prior warning to all Indian Footballers who are all ready to be a part of fame and fortune and the people of India to have a broader outlook for both the game and players. The Indian team after a fantastic win against Vietnam has got some great compliments from everyone. The love for Football is increasing, recently in Facebook I saw 123 comments on news related to Indian Football and 225 people liking it. From this it is clearly evident that football is getting popular in India. This seems to be a good indication but as it said “increase in power increases the responsibility”. The players must be all set to face the problem of constantly being under microscope and try being trend setters for the people.

The game moving in a right direction shouldn’t face such hurdles and shouldn’t go out of track again. I would like to apologize if this article has hurt the sentiments of anyone but the main motive was the development of Football in India.
