Accomplishment and distinction among South Asians from around the world was fêted as The Asian Awards 2010, in partnership with Lebara, were held gloriously in London on Oct 26. The awards in partnership with Lebara, which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London.

It’s time for our master blaster to celebrate again and again because awards and honors continue to flow towards Indian batting icon Sachin Tendulkar who added the ”Lebara People’s Choice” nobility at the inaugural Asian Awards here to his trophy cabinet. Ratheesan Yoganathan, CEO Lebara, presenting the award to the incredible batsman said, “Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers of all time”.

“Sachin is a hero and a role model to many young Indians. His skill on the pitch is remarkable, but his influence goes beyond just cricket – he has become an inspiration for future generations,” he added.

Tendulkar said getting popular choice awards is the ultimate honor. “To receive an accolade from your peers is one thing, but to receive acknowledgment from the public is the ultimate honour’’.

Lebara associations CEO was filled in his hearts with praises for the mind-boggling man of the fields Sachin’s accomplishment on the pitch is stimulating and astonishing but it is not here that his reputation is limited to instead he is a true role model who is an all round champion and a true inspiration for the coming up generation in terms of the varied influences he shares on and off field.

Our inspirer did not fail to show his gratitude to the participants who have voted him to excel the honor. Hope his journey continues further beyond.
