Countdown Halts For The Ashes 2010: It’s Time For Action

Brisbane Cricket Ground - Gabba

Brisbane Cricket Ground – Gabba

Brisbane, Nov 24: The very much hype and awaited series, which is the oldest and the biggest rivalry between England and Australia, and of 133 years old now, is all set to begin. Very often we see that before the Ashes, Australia is the team which is all prepared and ready to go for kill with no problems or worries, and England with facing all sorts of difficulties and problems with some or the other. But this around the things are contrast, with the hosts facing all kinds of troubles, with not in great form and many of the players down with injuries, while England team is all better and fresh for the contest with full flow.

Australia will start of the series with losing three previous Test matches, which happened first time since 1988, and that was only moment when they lost in Gabba. If England is again successful to make that history of winning in Gabba, then they surely will have an edge over the rest of the series, where a draw can also hold their series win. England’s tour so far has been very tremendous with two warm up matches wins, with very strong team Australia A, and also had one draw. England’s boys are in a very strong position and in great touch and not only that then, they also sent their fast bowlers to Brisbane few days earlier to get used to the conditions over there.

If England loses the series over here after being doing very good preparations and brilliant form that they have it, would certainly be a very big disappointment for them. Australia lost the last Ashes series at home way back in 1986-87, when Ricky was only 12 while Andrew Strauss was living in Victoria. England has a very great chance to bag the series, seeing the ongoing changes and performance of the Aussies in recent times.

Author:

Hello everyone this is Ronak Parekh and I’m currently student of S.Y.B.M.M. I’m 20 years old from Mumbai. I choose my career in B.M.M because I always wanted to do something which is of my interest. And my passion has always been sports especially cricket and F1. I really want to be linked with sports in my future. B.M.M course gives the opportunity in journalism from where I can move to sports category. When I was child I always used to play and watch cricket a lot which usually most of the people does. I gained my interest in F1 due to only one man and that was none other than seven time world champion Michael Schumacher. Actually I’m also very passionate about cars so it is really fun when I see this sport. Today I’m really excited about getting an opportunity to do internship for three months with the sports mirror, where I will have full freedom to express my views and opinions regarding every sport. I definitely will try my best to write the articles as good as possible which would be worth interesting for readers. I really whole heartedly thanking the sports mirror again for giving me this vital opportunity and I promise I will make the most of it.
