Mourinho Longs To Return to England

Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has become one of those names in world football whom you just cannot stop talking about. Whether he is losing or winning, whether he is out of work or winning trophies, he is simply irresistible. And Mourinho has famously confided to his close associates (according to various media reports) that he is desperate to return to England and reunite with the charm and passion of the Barclays Premier League. A person who has the habit of making sensational news bytes time in and time again, this can even turn out to be another hoax hugely prevalent in the English media. Yet it is well known of the fact that he cherishes the beautiful time he spent at London and would always welcome a move back to England.

Jose Mourinho has had a tough first year at Real Madrid. With financial strain of the club falling upon his shoulders and the fact that he has not been able to keep pace with the marauding Barcelona side has not weighed in his favours. A club where instant success is the only mantra, Jose seems to be finally losing his patience. However he has never quit in a losing position and we can surely expect him to spring back and deliver the crown to Real Madrid.

Pundits have already chosen him to be the potential suitor to Alex Ferguson at Manchester United and Jose Mourinho has made no inhibitions in declaring the same. It doesn’t matter to him as a professional whether he is coaching Chelsea’s rivals or not as he generally doesn’t take decisions by heart. However Chelsea is also a potential destination for The Special One as Ancelotti looks increasingly disturbed at Stamford Bridge and has made no secret of his desire to coach Roma. Apart from these clubs, Liverpool is also a possible destination but the absence of top level European Football would be a major stumbling block.

Manchester City with all their wealth can become the unlikely candidate to get his signature. Roberto Mancini has brought a great degree of professionalism but trophies are what the Arab Sheikhs want. And Mourinho might be tempted to make Manchester City one of the top teams in the world similar to Chelsea.
