The Baap Of All Battles: Let’s Watch Who Holds The Nerves?

World Cup Semi-Final

World Cup Semi-Final

Today is the day folks! We were all waiting for this mega match. It’s bigger than a World Cup Final. People are chanting prayers, preparing wish lists, doing puja’s and cheering aloud for the men in blue. The TV Channels are telecasting various enthusiastic fans from all across the nation! The high-spirited shows have loud and impressive names like the Mother of all Battles and LOC – Love of Cricket.

The occasion favours India: its 4-0 in World Cup clashes between the two teams. Tweet wishes from famous personalities, passionate & frenzy cricket fans and the overall jingoism in air! The Game is on. Ample hype, immense intensity, overwhelming passion& emotion in fans has built enormous pressure on the players to perform.

With so much happening we are sure to witness a thriller of an encounter between the two subcontinent nemeses. Pakistan’s real test would be how it’s batting fares. And, Indian bowling would also be under the knife. Both sides have average fielding athletics. So, it would actually be India’s bowlers vs the Pakistan’s Batsmen.

Mohali had showers yesterday. So, we can expect dampness in the pitch and maybe ball skidding. The toss is to play a crucial role and it will be interesting to see what the winning captain chooses to do.

In the crunch situation we expect Yuvi to perform and deliver for India. And, we also want Tendulkar to make a memorable century here! Ashwin’s intelligent spin would be the X-factor for us as Pakistan will face him the first time.

For Pakistan the skipper Afridi is to play a huge role with both bat and bowl! ShoaibAkhtar and Umar Gul are potential match winners. They can dither the Indian batting.

From sources it’s revealed that we will see Nehra coming in for Munaf. It’s almost same guys – both are unpredictable and erratic. And, neither of them can either field or bat!

Gilani – the Pakistan Prime Minsiter has arrived India on invitation by Manmohan Singh to watch the match at Mohali. This is a good initiative to settle the two nation’s political relations.

And, we even had the national flag’s disrespect controversy in the morning today, whereby an ICC official was accused of walking over the Indian flag!

With so much happening we all cannot wait for the start of the larger-than-life contest. It’s gonna be huge people. Don’t forget to switch on to Star Cricket at 14.30 ISTa nd cheer aloud for India…. Chak De India!
