A Clear Win

French Open - A Clear Win

French Open – A Clear Win

Though it is my deep sinking wish to see Federer raising the French Open Trophy, it was Nadal at the end. When Federer made it through the Novak Djokovic Test, struggling and came over, he made millions of Swiss and his fans spirited, but to the Clay Conqueror, he failed the Test. The Spain Tennis Hero made it on the clay, he also erased the history of his personal-best- from the Barcelona Match, Nadal’s best on the Clay is now the French Open 2011. A clear win need not be an easy win. The straight drives of winning first two sets would have ended the match if that had been recurring in the third set too, but that was the time the Federer really fought to win a set for himself.

If you had noticed in the matches, it was the 22 year old Spaniard who made all the huff-puff sounds, Federer played a clean and non-aggressive quiet match! Nadal is well admired for his eternal brimming energy, quick reflux shots, and feeling-young gesticulations.

If you had given up watching the Finals, after the ever ending 62 minutes first set, you had missed something watchable, the Roger’s backhand shots. Any game, watching it for a long time may be hypnotic, yet nothing could have substituted his finest powerful, one-hand backhand grip, Nadal’s tiring expressing with no compromise on the decibels he produces during the matches. In the outlast Grand-Slam list, Nadal currently falls short of 6 Titles to match the Federer’s record.

Federer spoke for a couple of seconds in French at the presentation, but for Nadal it was all just “Bonjour”. Language was not a deal, he later said that “I am not the best Tennis Player, but I am one of the best, I really don’t give a thought to all the rankings and comparisons”.  A very pragmatic player with confidence said these words. This is the sixth French Open Trophy for Nadal!

This was the winning set, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3), 5-7, 6-1.

Can Nadal get satiated with his hunger for victory? Can the conqueror ever think of a hiatus? Will he match to the Federer’s?  Time has the answer, before that the analysts clearly say that this young 22 year Nadal, can easily surpass the glories of Roger federer.
