Neymar, Sanchez And A certain Bojan

Premier League - Transfer Rumours

Premier League – Transfer Rumours

In what has turned out to be a bold statement, Santos have told Chelsea that they would let starlet Neymar go for nothing less than an astonishing 41 million pounds. The 19 year old has become one of the biggest attractions for European powerhouses, alongside fellow team mate Ganso. Though his abilities are unquestioned, it would seem silly and outrageous to spend such a preposterous amount on a man yet to prove himself in a big stage.

Barcelona seemingly inspired their rivals Real Madrid, have started signing on players just because they can. Alexis Sanchez, the talented Chilean winger, is reportedly their target. With the trio of Messi, Villa and Pedro working wonders up front and the talented but ignored youngster Bojan (not to mention Ibrahim Afellay) on the bench, it is hard to comprehend their interest in the Udinese man. It has been rumoured that the newly crowned champions have also offered Bojan as part of the deal.

Bojan, who broke into the scene as a 17 year old and became the first person born in the 90’s to score a goal in the Champions League, has now been relegated to the bench. After impressing under Frank Rijkaard’s last year as a manager, the youth academy graduate has found it difficult to break into the starting eleven under fellow youth product Pep Guardiola.

Used mainly as a substitute or in the second string team in dead rubber matches, it would be surprising if he doesn’t seek a move away to ensure more playing time. Liverpool are rumoured to be one of many clubs interested in his services. Luis Enrique, Barcelona B’s manager, has agreed to a contract with Roma and it wouldn’t be shattering news if Bojan decides to follow him.

German veteran striker, Miroslav Klose, has moved to Lazio on a free transfer. Klose, who has been on a tremendous run for the national team, has found it difficult to replicate the same for Bayern Munich. Napoli are interested in Udinese outcast Gokhan Inler, to partner the successful Edinson Cavani.

Romelu Lukaku hopes to move to Chelsea and Erik Lamela might join Serie A Champions AC Milan. Ashley Young might choose Man United over Liverpool, Aquilani might seal a permanent move to Juventus. Falcao has revealed he might leave Porto, who have won the Europa League and the Portuguese League this year.

In what has been a story fit for sniggering upon by Manchester United’s rivals, Usain Bolt has claimed that he could play for them after he stops running. Run along, Usain. That would please me.
