Yes, you read the title right. Today, July 10th, we are One Year Old! The month of July has been birthday month here at The Sports Mirror. It’s been a fun fascinating year. Numbers don’t lie, well at least the ones from Google Analytics are pretty reliable and what they tell us is exciting.
The Sports Mirror is One Year Old!
Starting out twelve months ago from scratch with an audience of zero, our page view totals steadily rose and by year’s end reached six figures per month having fans from 88 different countries around the world. Thanks for bookmarking this site, emailing our stories and leaving comments; especially our Facebook and Twitter fans.
Our original writing is our strength, you won’t find regurgitated, aggregated, content-farm dribble at TSM. We are a true web-based publication; dynamic, search engine friendly, interactive and above all fast.
It’s interesting to see what was popular and which articles generated the most traffic. Google says our most popular individual writer is the multi talented Monish Menon with his column – The Sachin Tendulkar Curse! And the most popular section of the website is the “Columns”.
Of our wonderful contributing writers, Monish Menon takes the blue ribbon with his article: The Sachin Tendulkar Curse!; congratulations Monish! Your piece generated big numbers. And strange as it seems, our most popular overall keyword search item turned out to be; French Open 2011, who knew?

TSM is a sports magazine but we’re also pretty techie. The Sports Mirror has undergone a redesign, a major redesign, inspired from simplicity and minimalism. This new design comes across as a part of our endeavor to keep improving and serve our readers better.
This design is here to stay! We have spent a lot of time making it work, and getting it reviewed by many of our loyal readers.
