I Don’t Regret It: Tiger Woods

It has been a rough terrain for Tiger Woods; both on grass and on life. His performance has deteriorated after the whole scandal burst into the media on his affairs which led to his wife divorcing him. His rankings slipped and recently his caddie of 12 years, Willams, was dismissed. The last decision however was his own and Woods regrets no part of it.

According to Woods, its time to move on. This statement can be applied to all aspects of his life however it has been said that the reason Williams was dismissed was because he chose to work for Adam Scott without taking the employer’s permission. Upset Woods sacked Williams after this although said that Williams was a great caddie. He also added that not only did he help Woods all these years but Woods also helped him.

Williams was not happy with the sudden decision however Woods says that his new caddie: Stevie, is great and it was time for a change now.

The former World No. 1 who stands on the 28th position now, said that Bryon and him go a long way back. They were childhood friends and Bryon also caddied for Woods in 1999. According to the golfer, the chemistry between them works on the field and that they will be a great team.

The last time that Tiger Woods won a tournament was back in the year 2009. He played the Players tournament last. Injuries have taken over as Woods had an Achilles problem as well as an injured tendon.

However, he now claims that the doctors have given the green flag for him to start practicing again. Sean, his coach has been working hard on the former champion in trying to get him back to the game as good as before.

Woods says that he has been tough on himself as well. He has been pushing himself to perform the best he can. Woods is all set to return to the Open Championship. There are however many competitors that Woods will face. His first will be Darren Clarke who stands and no 30 position. There are also the golf sensations Rory Mcllroy, World No. 1 Luke Donald, and Graeme McDonald.

Woods won 7 out of the 9 times he played at the Firestone course. The other two times he came second and fourth.

It has been all rocks and stones for Woods for the past couple months. He will need to prove himself to the sport he once ruled.
