Cricket Australia To Certify Coaches To Impart Cricket Education Program




Mumbai: Cricket India Academy, in conjunction Cricket Australia and Fourth Dimension International, will train, assess and certify coaches through the Cricket India Academy Coach Induction Program from October 10 to 17, 2011 at Kohinoor City, Kurla.

This program focuses on theory and practical cricket coaching sessions and will be conducted by expert Cricket Australia Coach Educators to blend Indian cricket skills and knowledge with modern coaching techniques and methodologies.

Coaches from Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Jaipur, Baroda and Ahmedebad have been selected for the intensive training program and will be given specific training on the delivery of Cricket Education Program, its methodologies and content and its application to the next generation of aspiring young cricketers.

Cricket Australia Level 3 coaches and expert Coach Educators Brody Grogan, Tom Evans & Jason Mathers will run the program and share their vast experience of coach training in Australia and also internationally.

Ex Indian cricketer and Cricket India Academy Coach Director Pravin Amre will also be involved in the training as well as the ongoing development of coaches.

This training program is a great opportunity for the coaches to come together and be trained to use the innovative methodologies to fast track the development of their participants” commented Queenslander Brody Grogan. “I have been very impressed by the knowledge and passion of the coaches and look forward to them implementing a quality cricket program in Indian schools.”

Addressing the coaches at the beginning of the program, Martin Gleeson, CEO – Sports Education Development India Limited said “The Coach Induction Program is a corner stone of the Cricket Education Program as it brings together Indian coaches with their knowledge and experience and combines it with the latest coach methodology and teaching techniques. Cricket India Academy invests heavily in the training and development of their coaches to ensure high quality training program for participants.”
