Pune FC gears up for the historic event

All Pune FC fans and Indian football fans will be inching in excitement for this moment to come after already losing it earlier this year when Rovers cancelled their trip citing security issues over terrorism in June. But nothing will stop now, Blackburn player had already arrived to India and the security is tightly packed outside the stadium.

The result after the match will mean nothing to the fans of India because it’s the first of a moment in history where big club like Blackburn from English league playing against an Indian club in India. Not even the great East Bengal team enjoyed it or the historic Mohun Bagan had done it. The Pune FC got this opportunity because the owners of Blackburn Rovers FC were Indians and their native is Pune. As they say, it never matters how it arrived rather only how it will pan out. It’s surely going to be huge successive with the buzz it already managed to create in the cricket crazy nation.

Speaking before the historic event, the stand-in captain Venkatesh said “We are ready for history and to unfold a good game for our fans who will be turning out in numbers for the game. The result does not matter. Everybody is aware of Blackburn’s credentials. For Pune FC, fans matter”. The Pune FC coach too echoed the same view and voiced confidence in the team spirit inspite of injuries to star players Subrata Paul and Keita.

Building upto the match, the Pune FC has urged his fans to “wear red” since the club is referred as “Red Lizards”. Pune FC team will turn-out in an all red kit on the Friday night game which is actually their home dress kit and top officials of Pune FC have also urged the fans attending the game to wear red T-shirts, jackets, carry banners with messages to their favourite team and players and create a “red-out” in the stadium.  Also don’t forget to learn the catchy and motivational line “Who are we PFC”, so you can participate in chant during the match.

The game between Pune FC and Blackburn rovers will start at 6.25pm on Friday Oct 07 at Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune. The match also will be telecasted live worldwide by Ten Action+. So, you catch the match in TV from 6.25 onwards.

May be once, the headline in all Indian newspaper on Saturday will be pictured about Football match.
