Besides the swanky sweaty IPL, on another part of the sports world, the London 2012 Olympics Stadium dropped down its sheets on Saturday. There were over 40000 spectators who attended the opening of the official stadium in East London.

There were numerous British celebs, sports stars as well as branded icons who took part in the ceremony making it the grandest of grand affair. The event began at 7 p.m. (London Time). The last 90 minutes were set for the student of British University to undergo a test event. After that there were several great athletes of the country who took part in invitational events. There was even a surprise sweet meat for the audience as one member amongst them will win a chance to officially be a part of the stadium’s opening. Over all, there was something from the famous to the fascinated.

With the cutting of the ribbon, it was calling of the fiesta! From games to stunts and invitational to sponsored, it was a well-glued acrobatic brilliance. A mixture of fun and talent, there were excites like zorbing and bicycle riding.

The magnificence of the look along with the superiors of intelligence and quality, the stadium stands as a beacon of healthy competition, athleticism, sportsmanship and international representation. Less than three months are remaining for the games to start and at such a time where chaos and climax can be entangled, the opening ceremony of the stadium came as a cool-off for the management committee, the sports players and the spectators.

The stadium is yet to get their license to be operated and Saturday’s event was the best test intertwined with glamour and grace to getting just that.

Those who came for the event passed through tight security, metal detectors and the “airport-style” security to enter into the stadium. There were four openings and closing along with three waterways at the side of the stadium. There are five bridges designed to enter to the stadium. The stadium’s capacity is of 80000.

No major technical, constructional or any other glitch came in the way on Saturday and the event went exactly as planned; with grandeur and glory.

The world awaits to see the broadcast of the finest games there exists. Coming Soon!
