The sixth seed Indian pair recorded a 6-4 6-3 win over their rivals in the semi-finals of the USD 2,825,280 hard court event.

The Indian pair won 82 per cent of their first serve points and capitalised on three of their five break points to seal the victory in 57 minutes.

They should expect a tough match against the fourth seeded pair of Sweden’s Robert Lindstedt and Romania’s Horia Tecau, who shocked second seedAmerican’s Mike and Bob Bryan 7-5 6-7(5) 10-2.

The Swedish/Romanian duo is looking to win their first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title together.

India’s Leander Paes and Czech Radek Stepanek had bowed out in the second round.

Bhupathi is aiming to retain the title at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event. He was victorious in 2011 with his former long- time partner Leander Paes.

Bhupathi and Bopanna, who have been dumped from India`s Davis Cup team, had won a title in Dubai event in February.

It is only the second time this season that they have reached the final of an ATP event.
