Cricket Education Program comes to Mangalore

Mangalore, September16: Cricket India Academy launched its innovative curriculum based Cricket Education Program in Affiliation with Cricket Australia in Mangalore today under the gaze of former Indian cricketer Brijesh Patel, Cricket Australia’s Coach Manager Matthew Betsey and Martin Gleeson, CEO Sports Education Development India Ltd (SEDIL) at the St. Aloysius Centenary Ground, Mangalore.

Having established roots in Mumbai, Pune and Rajasthan over the past two years, Cricket India Academy today formally announced their partnership with Mangala Sports Pvt Ltd, a respected and reputable sports and event company based in Mangalore.

“Cricket Education Program will be a great way to develop the next generation of cricketers in Mangalore” commented Mr. Patel.  “We have a strong cricket history in India and this program will bring a strong system of coaching to help our grassroots development in Karnataka.  It is a great initiative by Cricket India Academy to reach out to different parts of the country and develop structured program.”

Cricket Australia also underwrites the global accreditation program for coaches with an ongoing professional development program also in place.  In his role as Coach Director, ex-Indian international cricketer and Pune Warriors Coach Pravin Amre is also involved in coach education and the training of the Academy’s elite players.

Mangala Sports Pvt Ltd is a company incorporated by sports passionate business men for the development of Sports from the grass root levels, registered as Mangala Sports as Private Limited Company in the year 2009, so that everything goes in a professional way and with perfection.

Mangala Sports as Private Limited organized Mangalore Premier League (MPL T-20) in the year 2010 to promote budding and talented cricketers of Mangalore.In the year 2011, Mangala Sports as Pvt Ltd have organized Mangalore Super Series (MSS 2011), a State Level Badminton Tournament to promote the game of Badminton in Mangalore.

Today, we see a lot of young Cricketers in Mangalore who are very talented and ready to compete in different level but lack a platform of advanced training and Coaching. So, to promote these young generation and also school children of age group 5 to 14, we are tied up with Cricket India Academy (CIA) to give Cricket Education and Training in affiliation with Cricket Australia.

The Cricket Pathway

Cricket India Academy offers an exclusive Cricket Pathway, an integrated cricket development program with a well-defined and progressive road map. As a child progresses academically; his or her cricket development should also progress in parallel. From learning the basics of cricket through fun and modified games, a child should have the opportunity to travel the cricket development journey attending sequential coaching programs developing their cricket potential whilst supporting their academic growth. Besides quality cricket coaching, emphasis is placed on tournament preparation and playing performance.

Cricket Coaching Programs with Cricket India Academy:

Cricket Kids: Cricket Kids is a program built on learning through game play and targeted specifically for 5–8 year old boys & girls. The focus is on introducing the skills & requirements of cricket in fun, engaging and child friendly activities.

Cricket Education Program in affiliation with Cricket Australia is being delivered exclusively by Cricket India Academy in India. The program has a foundation of competency based training and engages children in cricket development activities and learning, in addition to their regular schooling.

Cricket Education Program is a comprehensive six level sequential cricket development program developed exclusively by Cricket Australia for 9 to 14 year old boys and girls. Assessment and certification is available at each level with the Diploma of Cricket awarded to participants satisfying requirements at Level 6. Highlights of Cricket Education Program: Australian pace bowler Brett Lee is the Program Brand Ambassador with Mike Hussey and female cricketer Ellyse Perry as Role Models. Local coaches are trained by Cricket Australia Coach Educators and monitoring of coach performance is done by Cricket Australia accredited Coach Assessors.

Emerging Players: Cricketers of age 15+ mature and progress their skills with their preferences becoming more defined and matured cricketer. Cricket India Academy’s Emerging Players Program has a focus of defining and developing a player’s core cricket strengths to provide a platform for greater specialization and on field success.

Cricket India Academy is very excited about the opportunity to develop the next generation of cricket talent through employing the latest coaching techniques and methodologies to provide a quality experience for children to reach their potential in India. Apart from providing cricket coaching program for the school children’s, Cricket India Academy ensures there is process to identify talent and provide them opportunities to express their talents.
