Since the establishment of the concept of Indian Super League (ISL) in the year of 2013, the league is showing its potential in the whole world. In the very beginning, no one could imagine the popularity of the tournament especially in a country, where cricket is considered as the religion. But thanks to the popularity of Indian Premier League (IPL), the leading corporates with some leading sports loving personals tried to give a try to make football popular in the cricket loving country. Country’s leading celebrities also showed their interest to launch the tournament. Now at the end of the tournament, it became the Asia’s leading football tournament.

Sports Ambassadors of the country, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Bollywood starts, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham along with other stars became the brand of their respective franchisees. The league spread across the football loving cities in the form of Atlético de Kolkata, Chennaiyin FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Mumbai City FC, NorthEast United FC, FC Goa, FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos FC.

All the team have their marquee players. Most of them are very popular and real heroes of their respective countries and clubs. It also helped the league to be popular in the world stage. Most of the team has the partnership with the most popular clubs across the world- Like Atlético de Kolkata is with Spanish La Liga side, Atlético Madrid, Delhi Dynamos FC is with Dutch club Feyenoord, FC Pune City is with Italian football club ACF Fiorentina. Kerala Blasters FC already made their name in world stage for the second highest average attendances (49,111) of football lovers outside of Europe.

Currently all the marquee players are in the verge of their end of playing career. Most of them played in the popular clubs across the world and was able to spread the popularity in those countries and now they are doing the same to help India in improving their football culture. May be with the ever increasing popularity of the tournament we will find some current Football legends in the coming years. These will surely increase the skill level of the tournament. The couches of the sides also have their successful career. Who can forget the legendary Zico for his football strategies? Now he already has shown his interest to assist Indian Football Team. This is possible only due to the presence of ISL.

As per the league rule, a side can play a maximum six foreign players in their playing eleven. So, as Indian footballers are getting more opportunities to play with the football legends, it is assured that the playing skills of the Indian players would improve drastically. Moreover the facilities, they are getting during training session, would surely help them in improving their individual skills. As a result of these ISL not only become the Asia’s most attended football league, but it will surely help Indian Football to improve their football ranking. Who knows, India may soon play in the FIFA World Cup. And the beginning has started with the hands of ISL.
