The former Indian skipper has already reached Australia to witness the big clash live. In a recent interaction with the Indian media he opined that the top four teams to get into the semi-finals are India, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Obviously the Proteas are the most dangerous side of the Pool B hence India’s match against them will be a thrilling one. Sachin has also explained that the Indian team will have to play well against South Africa to keep the momentum going.

As of now South Africa and India are the top two teams of Pool B. On one hand India have successfully beat its arch-rival Pakistan a few days back while on the other hand the Proteas have outwitted Zimbabwe despite losing four wickets too early in the match. Hence, both teams are now basking in the glory of their recent victories and feeling highly confident about them.

Win against South Africa would definitely boost the morale of the Indian cricket team. It’s going to be an uphill task for India to rewrite the ominous history since the Proteas have defeated India in the all the three matches that these two teams have played in the World Cups.

Both teams are putting more than a cent percent effort in the nets during the practice session. They will fight it out on the ground to secure a win and acquire those crucial two points to stay at the top of point chart. Currently the world cup winning Coach Gary Kirsten is coaching the South African squad and he is definitely one of the most efficient mentors that any team would come across. India need to tackle his game plan strategically to outsmart the Proteas.

The presence of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar in the stands is set to enhance the performance of the Indian cricket team down under at their upcoming clash against the Proteas. The gifted right-handed batsman has played a total of six World Cups and more than 450 ODIs in his illustrious career. However, it was only in the year 2013 that the veteran cricketer has announced his retirement from all formats of the game.
