India continued with the winning combination and Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma came to begin India’s inning.

The left handed opener Shikhar Shawan played a patient knock of 30 (50b, 4sx3), while Rohit Sharma was striking the balls well. Bangladesh got the breakthrough at the 17th over when senior all-rounder Shakib Al Hassan dismissed Dhawan stumped out by Mushfiqur Rahim. India lost their first wicket at 75/1. Virat Kohli (3) also could not stay for long and was dismissed caught out soon.

Rohit Sharma went on to score his next 37 runs off just 28 deliveries. Unfortunately he was bowled out by T.Ahmed on 137 with 14 boundaries and 3 sixes. In no time Kayees (5) was also dismissed run out, courtesy Ravindra Jadeja’s excellent fielding.

Bangladesh were soon reduced to 139/6 but some late attempts by Nasir Hossain (35) and Sabbir Rahman (30) helped the team reach close to two hundred although for a losing cause. The duo added 50-run stand between them only to lower the margin of their defeat. The Bengal tigers were bowled out for 193 only. Mohammad Shammi (8-1-37-2) and Ravindra Jadeja (8-0-42-2) shared 4 wickets between them, apart from Umesh Yadav’s 4-Wicket haul.
