Hero ISL delegation on five-day visit to Premier League HQ




Continuing with its endeavor to make football as one of the country’s flagship sport and to leverage its association with Barclays Premier League in bringing the best practices in India, officials of IMG-Reliance & Star India – the organizers of Hero Indian Super League, along with its eight participating club representatives are visiting London for a five-day workshop, commencing from 29th April 2015.

The 23-member Indian Super League contingent will first visit the Premier League headquarter followed by the offices of three clubs ie Arsenal FC, Crystal Palace FC and West Bromvish Albion FC under the exchange program to explore the latter’s expertise in nurturing and growing a high quality football competition.

The workshop will feature knowledge sharing sessions and discussions on various topics such as Premier League Structure & Governance, Branding, Youth Development & Academies, Community Development, Fan Engagements, Club Organization and Communications.

Commenting on the initiative, Mrs. Nita Ambani, Chairperson, Football Sports Development Limited said, “We are delighted to have established strong relationship with Premier League to promote and bring in the best practices to India. The success of Indian Super League in its inaugural year has open many frontiers for the Indian football, world over today and I am hopeful that partnership with Premier League will enable our clubs to build from the very best in the business. Premier League is revered around the world, and by learning from the practitioners who have made it so successful; Indian Super League will develop and grow richer in experience.”

Premier League Chief Executive Mr. Richard Scudamore along with his officials Mr. Nic Coward, General Secretary, Mr. Richard Masters, Director Sales & Marketing, Mr. Ged Roddy, Director of Youth and Mr. Simon Morgan, Head of Community Development will be meeting the ISL delegation along with the three club officials over the next five days.

The highly interactive workshop will conclude with the Manchester United versus West Bromwich Albion F.C. match on Saturday, 2nd May at Old Trafford, Manchester.
