Speaking at the time of launch of this event, Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister, Shri. Harish Rawat said, “At the risk of sounding redundant, I continue to maintain that the youth is not just our future but the present also. We have also noticed that youngsters have a fatal attraction towards substance abuse which is an alarming concern for us. Hence, Khalimania is one of the initiatives to kick start the wave of sports fever in the state ahead of National Games 2018.”

The first edition of Khalimania has signed one of India’s largest charitable foundations, The Hans Foundation & The Hans Cultural Centre as a title sponsor. Corporate House Minda, Sports Ministry have also partnered with the event.

Bisleri comes on board as a Beverage Partner and Haldiram as Refreshment Partner. Max Healthcare & Brijlal Hospitals supports as Healthcare & Paramedics partner. Jaypee Residency Manor and Rangers Reserve, Corbett associates as Hospitality partners.

Commenting on this one of a kind event in Uttarakhand, the Great Khali said, “It has always been my dream to popularise pro wrestling as a sport in India and provide a world class platform for the budding grapplers to show their prowess and enhance their skill and art. Uttrakhand has given me an ideal platform to do so and I assure the people of the state will not be disappointed.”

Not only is bookmyshow.com enabling online sales for the big bout but it is also setting up ticketing booths for offline sales at 15 locations in Dehradun and Haldwani. Offline booths will also be set up in Rishikesh, Nainital and Haridwar.
