Both camps are open for children between the ages of 6-16 years. Chennaiyin FC’s first team assistant coach and grassroots technical manager Syed Sabir Pasha will oversee the camp.

Each venue will have an AFC A licensed coach to head the program and he will be assisted by other coaches. All participants will be given Chennaiyin FC participation certificates along with Chennaiyin FC merchandise shirt.

Since the start of the club’s grassroots program in 2015, Chennaiyin FC have reached out to more than 20,000 children in Tamil Nadu, covering Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Sivagangai, Erode, Coimbatore, Salem and Tirupur.

CFC have also organised workshops for coaches and in January 2016 an AIFF D coaching license course was also conducted in Chennai with 30 participants.

The reigning ISL champions also run a Centre of Excellence with 35 kids each in the age groups of U-13 and U-15 with Pasha overseeing the whole program.

Earlier this month a schools league was conducted and these summer camps are an extension of the club’s grassroots program.

“The summer camp is an opportunity for young kids to enjoy quality coaching by our Chennaiyin FC coaches. At the same time, we will make sure that they learn new techniques and skills during the camp. We are always scouting for talented players and we hope we can find talent for our Centre of Excellence program,” said Pasha.
