Dubai is undoubtedly one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world today.  Lying along the coastline of the Persian Gulf, it is the capital of Emirate of Dubai.  As a major tourism and business hub of Middle East, the city attracts thousands of visitors every year. Thanks to this, the city caters to the needs and taste of people from different cultures and traditions. Amongst other influences, Golf as a sport in Dubai has significantly flourished in the last two decades.  Sprawling golf courses, abundant sunshine throughout the year and light, fresh breeze from the Mediterranean, make the city of gold, a preferred destination for the Golfers. Due to these favourable conditions, tourists from across the world prefer coming to Dubai on Golfing retreats.

In the recent years, Golf holidays have become quite popular. This is particularly because they are fun and involves the coming together of families and friends in an exotic setting. Most clubs that offer Golf holiday packages have massive golf courses in the backyard. Guests can play Golf in the morning or evenings and spend the rest of the time at the resort engaging in a host of free activities like squash, swimming or enjoying the mesmerizing nightlife of Dubai. These resorts are also child-friendly and offer various activities for little guests. The best time to visit Dubai is between November and March. The weather during these months is moderate and perfect for a game of Golf.

Although the terrain of Dubai is sandy and desert-like, the greenery on some of the best golf courses especially the Jumeirah Golf Estate and the Dubai Creek Golf Course is impressive and worth visiting.  In fact, the Earth course at the Jumeirah Golf Estate is the venue for the DP World Tour Championship, the last tournament of the European Tour. So, even if you don’t play Golf, you can definitely be the spectator of the golfing gala and catch a glimpse of some of the best golfers in the world. The facilities at these clubs are top-notch, and some courses even have floodlights for a golfing session in a starlit night.  Besides, Golf in Dubai is becoming a popular sport amongst the local population as well.  Some clubs offer training to adults and children of different age groups. The accessibility of golf to the local population has made the sport immensely popular in the city.

Several clubs in Dubai offer golf lessons to amateur golfers. These places offer a team of experienced coaches and world class facilities. Therefore, enthusiasm towards the game has indeed increased in the last few years.

To capitalize on this massive infrastructure, the authorities have taken a keen interest to promote Golf tourism. The city is home to some of the conic hotels in the world like Burj Khalifa and Atlantis the Palm.  The beaches and multi-cuisine restaurants in the city that offer unique dining experience is something every tourist must experience.   An ultimate spin on luxury and opulence, the city of Dubai is full of surprises. Whether from the perspective of golf, architectural design, crazy nightlife or man-made wonders, an outing in Dubai will certainly not disappoint you.
