The Delhi Daredevils will also start afresh after a five-day break since their last match against Mumbai Indians. The Zaheer Khan-led side is currently languishing at the second last spot of the IPL ranking table. Of late, former international cricketer and DD captain Zaheer Khan has said that the next few days will be crucial to the team as a couple of more defeats could literally shut the door of Delhi to reach Play-off.

What to watch out for at Tomorrow’s Game?

DD’s batsmen need to bat well to help the team win remaining matches. However, the crucial four overs of KKR’s Sunil Narine will once again be a key. DD will once again depend heavily upon its in-form Sanju Samson. He has a good hand-eye coordination and someone who can hit the ball all across the ground in an effortless manner. However, the 22-year old now needs to convert his good start to a match-winning knock and guide his team to a spectacular victory. Similarly, expectations will be there from Rishabh Pant too.

Gambhir and Robin Uthappa are in good form. It will be extremely tough for DD to beat KKR at their home in Kolkata. Sunil Narine is batting well too. So, Delhi Daredevils will have to cope up with his batting too. In the last three matches, Sunil Narine played blitzkrieg knocks of 42, 34 & 16 at a strike rate of around 175 plus.

KKR have outstanding win record against DD at home winning 5 matches at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens out of the 6 matches that both teams played here. This season, KKR already beat DD in a fighting clash at New Delhi when “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo” team succumbed to 21 for 3 while chasing 169-run target, which they successfully did owing to a fantastic partnership between Manish Pandy and Yusuf Pathan down the order.

DD are desperate for a win to brighten their prospect at IPL play off stage. DD have a good bowling attack including the likes of Mohammad Shami, Zaheer Khan, Pat Cummins, Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada. Morris is a good all-rounder too and can play explosive innings down the order with the bat.

Predicted Playing XI (Both Teams)

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): Gautam Gambhir (Captain), Trent Boult, Colin De Grandhomme, Shaikb Al-Hasan, Ishank Jaggi, Kuldeep Yadav, Sunil Narine, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Robin Uthappa and Umesh Yadav.
