Kolkata have started off their tournament in style, but of late, their performance has been under a scanner for winning just four out of their last seven games. The Shah Rukh Khan owned team has already won the tournament twice in the history of IPL and they must be looking forward to reach the gala finale this year too. KKR have to strengthen their batting prowess to put a big total on scoreboard against SRH.

Team News for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

KKR’s biggest asset would be the performance of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine in tomorrow’s match. Both batsmen are in good form, and they have to play well. Narine has been a vital cog in KKR with his inspiring all-round performance garnering 214 runs at a strike rate of 178 apart from scalping 10 wickets in IPL 10.

KKR will expect strong batting from its experienced troika of Manish Pandey (396), Robin Uthappa (386) and Guatam Gambhir (454) – all are in outstanding form this IPL. In the lower middle order, Yusuf Pathan’s presence is always helpful to the side. He is a clean hitter of the ball at crucial juncture when the team needs some quick runs.

KKR’s bowling looks well settled too. Both of the KKR’s fast bowlers; Chris Woakes (17-wicket) and Umesh Yadav (14-wicket) have bowled well, getting frequent breakthroughs. Sunil Narine and Piyush Chawla are providing versatility to KKR’s spin armory with leg-spin and off-spin combo.

Team News for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

There is a magic in David Warner’s captaincy. The defending champions have played consistently well throughout this season. They kept the momentum and cruised to the play-off owing to their meticulous teamwork and spirit. Even, Warner’s performance is exemplary too with 604 runs to his credit in 13 games this season.

SRH have a lot of match winners in the squad including the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Kane Williamson and Moises Henriques. Skipper David Warner is also on top of IPL Orange Cap race with his sublime batting up the order.

However, just a few hours back, SRH received a big blow as the veteran left-arm-fast Ashish Nehra won’t be able to play eliminator game owing to an injury. Now, Hyderabad’s pace bowling will revolve around the purple cap holder Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The right-arm-fast has chipped in 25 wickets from 13 games so far. Also, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi will crucial to Wednesday’s game. If they get some early wickets then KKR will eventually succumb to pressure.
