In their last match, RPS bundled out Maxwell and company for 73 and then convincingly won the match with nine wickets in hand. Mumbai Indians have also won their last game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Eden Gardens a couple of days back.

Mumbai have always been a consistent performer at IPL since inception. MI will try to enter into the final without any fuss. So, they will play to win tomorrow. On paper, team looks quite balanced with a good combination of bowlers and batsmen.

In the absence of Jos Buttler,Lendl Simmons is playing well. Also, the rest of the key players including Rohit Sharma, Pollard and Pandya brothers are in sublime form and a good show is expected from them. In bowling, the experienced troika of fast bowlers; Bumrah, Malinga and McClenaghan are sure to restrict Pune’s run-flow with frequent breakthroughs.

MI isn’t taking the qualifier match lightly owing to their consecutive bad performance against Pune at the league matches this season. All eyes will be on Pune’s Rahane, Smith and Unadkat – who played crucial roles in RPS’s both wins against Mumbai at IPL 10.

Without Ben Stokes, Pune will have to perform more outstandingly to outsmart the inform Mumbai team. The ace all-rounder left an indelible impact at IPL 10 with his all-round performance including 316 runs and 12 wickets to his credit in 11 games before joining England for a series against South Africa later this month.

Similarly, RPS will also miss the service of experienced leggie Imran Tahir but his replacement Adam Zampa is expected to win the faith of the captain with his leg-spin against Mumbai Indians. Manoj Tiwary, MS Dhoni, Rahul Tripathi and Dan Christian are some other Pune players who will hold a key to victory. Shardul Thakur’s spell will have a tint of pace and reverse pace in tomorrow’s game at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
