Champions League Quarter Finals Draw

UEFA Champions League

UEFA Champions League

The much awaited draw has taken place and it has got some exciting matches and a few easy ones too.

Manchester United has been drawn against Chelsea in the quarter finals which would be the replay of the 2008 Champions League final in Moscow. The first leg will be at Stamford Bridge and the return leg will be at Old Trafford. This match is surely going to be one the most exciting match.

Barcelona, which is considered as the best football club got an easier draw and will play Shakhtar Donetsk in the last eight. Barcelona fans might have erupted with joy as they got the easier draw. Barcelona lifted the trophy in 2009 when they had beaten ManU in the final.

The defending champs Inter Milan also got an easier game as they play Schalke 04 in the quarter finals. After beating Bayern Munich away from home, Inter has proved their hunger for the title second time in a row.

Tottenham Hotspur on the other hand were given a tough match against the nine-time winners Real Madrid. They will play the first leg at Bernabeu and second leg at White Hart Lane. Real Madrid has broken the jinx of last 16 and has reached the quarter finals for the first time in seven years.

The quarter finals first leg will be played on April 5-6 and the second leg will be played on April 12-13.
