Federation of Football Coaches in India (FFCI), an Organization formed in 2011 and approved by the All India Football Federation (AIFF ) organized its Monthly Award Ceremony for the ‘I-League Club of the Month’ and ‘I-League Coach of the Month’ on 8th January 2018 at The Calcutta Sports Journalists Club.

FFCI Monthly Awards are given to the Club in accordance with the constant lead position during the month (30 days in the I-League 2017 apart from this Development and Playing philosophy of the club is also taken onto consideration for nomination.

Apollo Minerva Punjab FC was conferred the “I- League Club of the Month (Nov- Dec 2017) and the “I-League Coach and Astt. Coach of the Month “Award was given to Sri Wangkhem Khogen Singh and Sri Sachin Badadhe of Minerva Punjab FC respectively. The entire Minerva FC Team was present along with the Team Owner and Executive Director, Mr. Ranjit Bajaj and two Coaches, Sri Wangkhem Khogen Singh and Assistant Coach Sri Sachin Badhadhe. Minerva Academy FC was also awarded the ‘Best Centre of Youth Football Excellence 2017’ to Minerva F.C for their grassroots football activities.

The dignitaries present in the Award Ceremony were, Sri Sanjoy Banerjee, President, FFCI, Sri Shyam Thapa, Ex-Indian Footballer and Coach, Sri Debasish Kumar, Member,Mayor-In-Council (Sports), Kolkata Municipal Corporation Sri Gagan Sachdev, Director, Bodyline Sports and Mr. Fuja Tope, Liaison Foreign Collaboration Officer, FFCI.

Mr. Fuja Tope, Liaison Foreign Collaboration Officer, FFCI gave away the prize to Sri Sachin Badadhe, Assistant Coach, Minerva Punjab F.C, Sri Shyam Thapa, Chairman, Technical Committee AIFF and Chief Mentor, FFCI, gave away the prize to Sri Wangkhem Khogen Singh, Head Coach, Minerva Punjab FC, Sri Gagan Sachdev, Director, Bodyline Sports, gave away the prize to Mr. Ranjit Bajaj for the Minerva Academy FC for Grassroots Football Activities and Sri Debasish Kumar, Member, Mayor-In-Council (Sports), Kolkata Municipal Corporation gave away the prize to Minerva Punjab FC for being the I-League Club of the Month.
