Hyderabad set to host ASISC National Games from November 6




New Delhi, November 2, 2016:  The Association of schools for the Indian School certificate (ASISC), one the oldest association in the country founded in the year 1957 had today announced its 20th National Athletics and Games which will happen in Hyderabad from 6th to 11th of November-2016.

V. Vincent, Secretary Treasurer, ASISC, said that,” It’s a momentous occasion and a very proud moment for ASISC to announce the 20th edition of the National sports meets. ASISC has been organizing inter school events at the National level for the last twenty years with the purpose of providing opportunities to the children of member schools to come together in a spirt of healthy competition and discover their innate talents in the process. These events and competitions have seen tremendous growth and improvement in the last few years”.

The ASISC has 11 regions (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Bihar & Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, MP & Goa, North India. North West, Orissa & Chhatisgarh, Tamil Nadu, UP & Uttarakhand, West Bengal & North East) in which about 1600 schools are members. The toppers who are selected from the schools from regional level competitions will compete against each other in the ASISC National Games.

The 6 day ASISC National Games will be a vibrant sporting event for all ICSE and ISC schools across the country. The national inter school competition will witness participation from 3000 young athletes from 1600 schools under various categories – Volleyball, Swimming, Hockey, Athletics, Badminton, Football, Basketball and Lawn Tennis.

Events are conducted integrating the rules and regulations of the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
