Sports – China

Guangzhou, Nov 28: After standing on the first position in Asian Games, China’s sports juggernaut will be much focused to do the same trick again in the London Olympics 2012, according to the sports official. China continuously stood at first position for eight times on the row, with achieving 199 gold and brilliant mountains of 416 medals. The medals tally of China is both the records at the Asian Games, until now. China left far behind their close rivals South Korea and Japan, which won 75 and 48 gold respectively. “The medal tally that we conquered, certainly will boost our preparations for the major goal of London Olympics 2012,” said the chef de mission of the Chinese delegation and vice minister of sports Duan Shijie.

“But winning the top spot and doing it convincingly, does not mean that, we will do the same in London Olympics, but will ensure that we don’t relax at any point of time, and continue to strive hard, and put all our efforts on consistent basis” added Duan. China created history in Olympics when they topped the 2008 Beijing Olympics, in terms of gold tally when they left behind the most powerful houses United States and Russia way behind. The Chinese talented and class players like Liu Xiang, badminton ace Lin Dan and a group of powerful divers, tennis table players, weight lifters and gymnasts will try and show the whole world that, they will try to achieve the same abroad which they did at home.

“The reason towards the great performance relates to the nation’s rise in very quick time, also the rise in our economy and our comprehensive national strength,” said Duan. Swimming is the only sport where the nation has improved a lot in its performance, where they won 24 out of 38 gold medals, which is very tremendous performance, and also defeating once their close and hard rivals Japan and South Korea.

Hello everyone this is Ronak Parekh and I’m currently student of S.Y.B.M.M. I’m 20 years old from Mumbai. I choose my career in B.M.M because I always wanted to do something which is of my interest. And my passion has always been sports especially cricket and F1. I really want to be linked with sports in my future. B.M.M course gives the opportunity in journalism from where I can move to sports category. When I was child I always used to play and watch cricket a lot which usually most of the people does. I gained my interest in F1 due to only one man and that was none other than seven time world champion Michael Schumacher. Actually I’m also very passionate about cars so it is really fun when I see this sport. Today I’m really excited about getting an opportunity to do internship for three months with the sports mirror, where I will have full freedom to express my views and opinions regarding every sport. I definitely will try my best to write the articles as good as possible which would be worth interesting for readers. I really whole heartedly thanking the sports mirror again for giving me this vital opportunity and I promise I will make the most of it.
