Freddie Ljungberg Tells the Arsenal Board to Make a Decision Over Coach Role

Freddie has urged Arsenal to make a decision as soon as possible rather than to wait over the identity of its next permanent manager. He released that statement after Arsenal was defeated by Manchester City (3-0).

Freddie has been the acting manager for the club since Unai Emery sack. Uhai was sacked as the club’s manager following the Arsenal’s longest less-win run since 1962.

In a statement, Freddie said that the management of the club has been reluctant to hire new coaches since Emery departed with his assistants.

Freddie believes that Arsenal now must make a move in their search for a new manager.  He insisted that he has severally requested the management to hire new coaches, but his efforts have not borne any fruit. According to Freddie, a swift decision must be made for the club to have resources like any other club.

Searching for a New Manager

Arsenal club is conducting a thorough search for a new manager, though there is no time frame set for the whole process. The search doesn’t appear to be nearing its end with some people suggesting Freddie as a potential person for the position. Others are supporting Mikel who is an assistant coach and who was in the club when Emery was appointed.

According to former premier league manager Holloway, Arsenal must choose a manager with tons of experience. He should also be a person who has managed the premier league and who speaks English fluently.

According to Freddie, the management of Arsenal has to look in the mirror and make a quick decision. He said that Arsenal was heading in the right direction when it defeated West Ham with three goals against one. But he was ashamed to see that Manchester City are much way ahead of Arsenal.

It is, therefore, necessary to decide so that everybody is made aware of what is going on in the club. Although Freddie is trying to do his part, a decision has to be made by the club.

Many fans left the Emirates Stadium well before full time after they were sure that their team could not afford to redeem the goals scored against Arsenal.

Freddie insisted he was happy with the support Arsenal fans offered.  He added that he is an Arsenal man and they try everything but again, they need to be realistic as well.

Freddie appreciated the fans who responded in large numbers to support Arsenal. At the end of the game, Arsenal fans sang and praised their players.

For the last few years, Arsenal has been struggling against Manchester City at their home. But the recent game demoralized Arsenal after they were given five yellow cards. Arsenal conceded the 3rd goal when they had ten players on the field.

Injured Players Should Stay Down Longer

As earlier noted, Arsenal had ten players when Manchester City scored the 3rd goal. This occurred after Kolasinac was injured and Bukayo Saka, a substitute, was not yet ready to get into the field.

Freddie said that something needs to be learned when it comes to the injured players and substitutes.  The team must learn to get ready quickly. He added that when a player is injured, he needs to stay down on the field until players are ready.

Freddie Ljungberg Football Career

Freddie was born in 1977 in Sweden, and he is a former football player. He currently coaches the Arsenal junior team(under sixteen). He began his career at Halmstads before joining Arsenal. In his career, he has won many awards including 3 FA cups and two premier league titles. He left Arsenal in 2007 and joined other clubs in the United States, Japan, India, and England.

Also, Freddie served as a captain of a national team in Sweden before he announced his international retirement after the 2008 UEFA Euro. Freddie was a model for Klein underwear until the year 2007 and previously, he represented companies such as Procter & Gamble, Puma, Pepsi, Nike, L’Oreal, Beats, and ESPN besides running his blog.

In conclusion, the board of the club must choose its manager for Arsenal to regain its glory. Any organization cannot do well without a leader, and sports clubs are not exceptional.
