Ever since the late nineties the relationship between the superstars of the Indian Tennis has been strained. From the zenith to the nadir fluctuates their standpoint, hitherto India has not seen the best pair. The sync they have in their matches is exponentially high and would leave us awe struck.
The duo is none other than the very Mahesh-Peas pair who made a spellbound march into the finals of the Australian Open. Their rankings or the relationships has been at various rung of the ladder nevertheless showing least care to their personal antagonism the pair is back with the bang holding the flag high.
Today (27-01-2011) will be very memorable for the fans and the players as it was only the Australian Open Trophy that was missing in their kitty. Winning this grand slam would make their career cycle complete and make up for all the past communication aberrances.
Playing together after nearly a decade is not simple as it requires great deal of understanding and synchronization. The pair managed (more than managed, performed) very well throughout the series and are expecting the trophy to hit their showcase.
It was not fluke or luck, it happened. The third-seeded duo bade a farewell to the Canadian Daniel and Max of Belarus twosome with 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-3. It took them 140 minutes!
Lot of anticipation is suffused around them, will it happen?
In the finals they will be playing against the Bryan brothers, the top seeds. When the Indians whitewashed in 140 minutes, the Bryans needed only 54 minutes to sweep the unseeded pair off the field.
Peas-Mahesh is looking keenly to play with the high-speed, terrific, stylish Bryans. The match is going to be nail-biting for different reasons:

- Expectation of the Indians
- 9-8 record of the Bryans vs. the 3-2 record of the Indians
- And the couple desperately needs this trophy!
