One the weakest IPL side, Delhi Daredevils lost their second IPL match against the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Maan Singh stadium.

Once again Delhi batted first and once again they had a bad start, captain Virender Sehwag got out in the first over to Shaun Tait and soon the score was 36 for 4, courtesy Shane Warne , who took two wickets in an over of  U. Chand and Naman Ohja.

Failing against Mumbai to create a big partnership was a big concern for the Delhi side before this match. It seemed they learnt some of their mistakes and were able to escape a yet another humiliating situation, thanks to Venu Gopal Rao and David Warner’s 83 runs partnership.

With the help of David Warner’s composed and mature innings of Venu Gopal Roa of 60 runs from 40 balls which consisted 4 sixes and fours. Delhi reached their first 150 runs mark in the last ball of the last over.

Like the first match, Delhi required early wickets and Ashoke Dinda did the right thing which brought smile on Sehwag’s face, but on the other side Mr. Dependable Rahul Dravid kept on playing his class shots. One thing was noticeable that Dravid did not score runs with the help of slogging, he scored all the runs with the help of class on drive and late cut and cut.

Infact Rs 9.66 crore player Irfan Pathan’s value was brought down to zero as Rahul Dravid scored 15 runs in Pathan’s first over, with a six and back to back fours.

Morne Morkal was the only players who bowl exceptionally well, giving 11 runs in 4 over’s. Rest of the Delhi bowlers were scored above 30 runs in their 4 over spell.

At the end the Rajasthan Royals won the match comfortably due to sheer team work. All batsmen performed their role well.

Whereas on the Delhi side, it seemed they knew their mistake from their first match but they were not prepared to execute the planning which could save them.
