Ferguson: We Can Beat Both Chelsea And Arsenal

Champions League

Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United’s Coach rubbishes the drawing of conclusion from people, that his team will drop 6 points in the next two games and miss the opportunity to be crowned as League Champions. He termed it as ‘nonsense’ conclusions or news or inferences.

With Arsenal losing points in the league, Chelsea moved up the table in the 2nd position above arsenal. Chelsea is 6 points behind the League Leaders, Manchester United. Manchester United is on the verge of winning the League Cup for a record 19th time.  Though Ferguson has hinted that the Blues are indeed their greatest threat, yet he is confident that United will clinch the title this year.

The fans of the rival clubs are waiting for United’ may fixtures. United have two big games coming up, one against Arsenal at the Emirates and one against Chelsea at Old Trafford. The rival club fans are hoping, infact they believe that United will go down to both the rival club. Ferguson was furious when asked to assess it about the state of the league, following their 1-0 win against Everton.

The Scott said, “The thing that puzzles me is that people keep saying we’ve still got to play Arsenal and Chelsea as if we’re going to lose them”.

“Why can’t we win these games? Why should people say we can’t beat Chelsea at home or we can’t go to the Emirates and win like we’ve done previously?

“I said to the players today, ‘forget all that nonsense, and just win your games.’ That’s what we want to do. Win the games and we’ll be all right.”

United host their Rival on the coming Sunday at home, on 8th of May. The Red Devils can wrap up their 19th League Cup, if they beat Chelsea on Sunday. The kind of form United is in, and the strong and positive attitude and character of the team, gives them every chance of winning on Sunday.

“I think we have to keep our head down and not get carried away”, said Sir Alex. United look confident, and in good shape too. They are playing excellent football as they always do. They recently defeated Chelsea in both their Champions League encounter, which gives them a competitive edge on Sunday.
