KKR are bruised after Warner’s mayhem at Hyderabad conceding 48-run defeat to SRH. David Warner played a special knock of 126 while guiding the team to a mammoth total of 209 a day before yesterday. But now KKR must have learnt its lesson, and will try to control giving away too many runs in the death overs.

With two consecutive wins against RCB and GL, Pune are now certainly an inch away from reaching into the knock-out round, and they won’t want to miss it. RPS will play attacking cricket against KKR for sure.

Watch out for Ben Stokes and Dhoni again on Wednesday!

Ben Stokes, the flamboyant English all-rounder, performed miraculously last night hitting 63-ball 103 while chasing GL’s 162. He stood on the ground till the last ball of the match steering his team to a fantastic 4-wicket win against Raina-led Lions.

In Pune camp, some mammoth expectations will be also there from Dhoni. Not to forget, how Dhoni built a match-winning partnership with Stokes to cruise RPS to a massive victory against GL.

Can Yusuf Pathan shine against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS)?

In-form Gambhir and Uthappa will also try to play a big knock on Wednesday to make a big impact in the match. Both batsmen are in sublime form throughout IPL 10. KKR batsmen Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Grandhomme will have to play well in the middle order apart from its in-form batsmen up the order.

Imran Tahir vs Gautam Gambhir

RPS have found a match-winner in Imran Tahir, who has a knack of picking up wickets at frequent intervals. Currently, the leggie stands at second spot at IPL points table adding 16 wickets to his credit. He is standing only behind Hyderabad’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s tally of 20 wickets. Tahir could create some problems for KKR batsmen with his troubling leg-spin.

KKR also need a win to make their way into the play-off with 16 points. As of now, KKR are having 14 points in their kitty. But KKR have to stay cautious from Ben Stokes, Tahir and Steven Smith as if they click then it would literally bring holocaust to team Kolkata. Considering the spectacular form of KKR they are well experienced in handling pressure situations and may actually beat Pune at home comfortably.

Predicted Playing XI (Both Teams)

Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS): Ajinkya Rahane, Rahul Tripathi, Steven Smith(Captain), Ben Stokes, MS Dhoni (Wicket Keeper), Manoj Tiwary, Daniel Christian, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Imran Tahir and Jaydev Unadkat.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): Gautam Gambhir (Captain), Robin Uthappa (Wicket Keeper), Manish Pandey, Sheldon Jackson, Yusuf Pathan, Colin de Grandhomme, Sunil Narine, Chris Woakes, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Kuldeep Yadav and Umesh Yadav.

Head to Head: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have 3-0 win record against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS).
