Wayne All Set To Stay Back In United

Wayne Rooney

This is so funny moment for me as three days back I just wrote an article on Wayne Rooney with just a different title saying Wayne Rooney All set to say good bye for United and today I am writing Wayne Rooney all set to stay back in United. This is a very good example of how players become villains from heroes and then again become hero from villains. This has been a very rare event in the history of the Red Devils as no player has even came up with such an transfer request and then stayed back in the team.

It was finally a U – turn decision taken by the United star after extending his contract till 2015. He said “I’m delighted to sign another deal at United. In the last couple of days, I’ve talked to the manager and the owners and they’ve convinced me this is where I belong”. Sir Alex Ferguson the Red Devil manger said he has come to me today morning and have apologized for his mistakes because his actions in the past week have hurt everyone”.

It had been some tough time for both the manger and player. It was all sagas around the player followed by some stupid hype and hoopla by the media on both his personal life and transfer speculation. The player is very unique in his attitude that out of many sportsmen he is the only one who after getting caught for having an external relation with a prostitute accepted that fact and was quite cool about it, saying ‘he is not the only one who is doing it’. In this case also he accepted that he was interested for a move away from united and has even accepted his mistake.

Wayne Rooney made an official statement for the fans saying “I certainly can’t wait to pull on the red shirt again,” Rooney told MUTV. “I am gutted to be injured. I just want to be out there playing, get back to form and doing what I do best. And I will be back to my best. I have no worries about that. I am sure the fans have been upset over the past few days with everything they have heard in the media. But I care for this club. I want to be here and I want to continue being successful at this club. It might take time with some fans. But I am going to be giving 100%, the same as always, to try and build that relationship back.”

SAF was all admiring the young maestro on his decision to stay back and apologize “I always feel it’s a quality in a person to say he’s sorry. I admire that in people. He realizes he’s made a mistake, and that happens, particularly with young people,” he added “The job for us now is to put this behind us, get Wayne Rooney back on the pitch and playing the way we know he can do,”.

Ferguson made it clear that we were very much keen to end this saga and concentrate on football. He said we have done that and now we will be completely focusing on the next match against Stoke City and will have to give their best to beat Chelsea in the title race.

In the end he concluded by saying “It’s a big day for Manchester United and it’s also a message to all our players and fans that we are the biggest club in the world, and we should never forget that,”.
