The transfer drama

Frank Lampard will leave Chelsea when his contract expires in the summer, according to his agent, despite rumors suggesting that owner Roman Abrhamovic was considering bowing to fan pressure by offering the 34 year old midfielder a new contract.

Lampard moved alongside Kerry Dixon as the Chelsea’s all time leading scorer on 193 goals when he converted a penalty in Chelsea’s 5-1 FA Cup third round victory at Southampton , prompting a chorus of “sign him up” by Chelsea fans. Steve Kutner, Lampard’s agent has seemingly dashed the hopes.

Kutner said in the daily mirror: “Chelsea executives told Frank in Japan during the club world cup then again reconfirmed with me after the Everton victory that in  no circumstances will he be offered a new contract to stay at the club after the end of this season. Nothing since has changed in any respect.”

“Frank has had to accept that and just wants to carry on playing football for Chelsea so as to finish the season as successfully as possible for the club that he loves”

Lampard has been linked heavily with a move to Los Angeles Galaxy, following in David Beckham’s footsteps, where he could join the Republic Of Ireland International Robbie Keane.

Schalke are open to allowing Lewis Holtby to join Tottenham this month. Spurs reached an agreement for the German midfielder to move to White Hart Lane when his contract with Schalke expires this summer. But the transfer could be bought forward if the club reaches an agreement with Tottenham.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis would prefer to see Mario Balotelli partner Edison Cavani at the San Paolo than considering selling his star striker to Manchester City. The Uruguayan striker fired Napoli back to third place in the Serie A table courtesy of a fine hat-trick  in a 4-1 win over Roma which got up his goal tally up to twenty this season. The 25- year old has a 63 million Euros release clause in his contract.

Sunderland have agreed a fee with Turkish Side Bursaspor for France under 21 midfielder Alfred N’Diaye.

Hull City are on the verge of signing Manchester United Winger Brady on a permanent basis for 2 Million Pounds, who is on loan at Hull for the rest of the season. Brady is already earned his international cap with the Republic Of Ireland. Manchester United have lost a host of talented youngsters like Pogba, Ravel Morrison, Joshua King, Zeki Fryers and now Brady adding to the list.
