Wave World Kabaddi League: Akshay Kumar’s Khalsa Warriors defeated Yo Yo Tigers




London, 9 August 2014: The second match of the Wave World Kabaddi League saw a tough competition where Bollywood cine- star Akshay Kumar’s Khalsa Warriors defeated star Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Yo Yo Tigers by 79-57 today here in London at the O2 Arena. Earlier in the first match of the league United Singhs defeated Punjab Thunder by 68-51.

The first quarter started with the strong raids and defence from both the teams. But the players of Khalsa Warriors seemed much experienced compared to their opponents. Strong attacks by star raiders Gagandeep and Gurmeet backed by sturdy stops of Stopper Gurpreet aka Gopi took the team in strong position. While the good raider of Yo Yo Tigers Sandeep and Rambo made huge efforts for their team. By the end of the first quarter 21-15 was the scorecard.

The second quarter saw an exciting fight between Khalsa Warriors and Yo Yo Tigers. From the very start of the quarter Khalsa Warriors attacked very well and maintained the lead over Yo Yo Tigers. The match turned out to be very exciting when both the teams used tremendous use of power and agility to get points. Raju, Gurmeet Singh, Satnam Singh aka Sattu and Chahal were the star raiders and stoppers from Khalsa Warriors. In the 15th minute of the match Angrej Singh of Yo Yo Tigers was stopped but he made an interesting move and jumped back to touch the line and got a point for his team. By the end of the first half Khalsa Warriors took over against Yo Yo Tigers with a difference of 10 points and took the lead to 40-30.

The 3rd quarter started with high energy and josh. Both the team Bollywood Khiladi’s Khalsa Warriors and Yo Yo’s Tigers showed consistence performances. This quarter was full of attacks and strong defences.  If Yo Yo Tigers saw tough times due to their weak defence, star raider of Khalsa warrior Sukha’s injury landed his team in hard situation, on the other hand.  The young players of both the teams Angrej Singh, Sandeep Singh of Yo Yo Tigers and Gagandeep Singh & Gurmeet Singh of Khalsa Warrior showcased good Kabaddi backed by few technical moves and clever switching.  The final score at the end of this quarter was Khalsa Warriors – 59  – Yo Yo Tiger – 46.

The final quarter of this action packed match of Wave World Kabaddi League concluded with a win for Khalsa Warriors. The performances of all the players of the winning team had showcased a good Kabaddi backed by their game strategies and planning. From the very beginning Khalsa Warriors maintained the lead and won the match with huge margin of 22 points with the final score of 79-57.
