India vs Sri Lanka, 2nd T20I at Ranchi, Preview

Preview Team India

Dhoni and co would be looking for familiar sub-continent conditions and would like their batsman to continue their Australian form. Dhoni termed Pune wicket as English conditions and he was not very much disturbed by defeat as he knows team would not counter similar conditions going into Asia Cup or T20 World Cup. India would be looking to score big or chase down whatever total is set by the Lankans. Both Ashwin and Jadeja bowled well in the first T20 and would like to spin a web around inexperienced Lankan middle order.  Rahane would be looking to get some runs under his belt and challenge Dhawan for openers slot in coming series.

Team News

Dhoni does not like to experiment much with the team. He played the best possible XI during the first match and would most likely to play same XI. Pawan Negi may get chance to debut because team management would like to test him before the Asia Cup. Hardik Pandya who has now played four T20 didn’t impress much like Bumrah and would likely to be replaced by Negi.

India (probable): 1 Rohit Sharma, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Ajinkya Rahane, 4 Suresh Raina, 5 MS Dhoni (capt.)(wk), 6 Yuvraj Singha, 7 Hardik Pandya/Pawan Negi, 8 Ravindra Jadeja, 9 R Ashwin, 10 Jasprit Bumrah, 11 Ashish Nehra

Preview Team Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka would be looking to continue their form from the first T20. After a disappointing tour of New Zealand there was finally some success for them. Many new faces were brought in and didn’t disappoint. Rajitha and Shanaka and Chameera would be itching to make to final XI in the Asia Cup and World Cup and another good performance would make their cases more strong. Sri Lanka would be looking up to their batsman to score runs as they would get India out for 101 daily.

Team News

Sri Lanka will be boosted by the Dishan comeback in the top of the order. His experience would be vital for this Sri Lanka team. Dickwella most probably will be replacing Dilshan in top of the order. Rest Sri Lanka would like to continue with their winning combinations and seal the series tomorrow.

Sri Lanka (probable): 1 T Dilshan, 2 Danushka Gunathilaka, 3 Dinesh Chandimal (capt.)(wk), 4 Chamara Kapugedara, 5 Dasun Shanaka 6 Milinda Siriwardana, 7 Thisara Perera, 8 Seekkuge Prasanna, 9 Sachithra Senanayake, 10 Dushmantha Chameera, 11 Kasun Rajitha
