VIVO IPL 2017: SWOT Analysis of Sunrisers Hyderabad #IPL

The biggest strength of Sunrisers Hyderabad is the inspiring leadership of the explosive Aussie batsman David Warner. He keeps the team united even after suffering any major defeats. It won’t be wrong to say that Sunrisers Hyderabad, owned by Sun TV channel network, is definitely a far better side than Deccan Chargers (now defunct).

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): Weaknesses at a Glance

  • Skipper David Warner’s drought of runs at the last few innings against India at test matches could affect his confidence level.
  • His opening partner Shikhar Dhawan’s own performance is also under a scanner. In the last 10 domestic cricket matches, Shikhar Dhawan could only get 2 fifties. Certainly he will have an immense pressure to perform at IPL 10.
  • SRH don’t have a strong middle order. Apart from the likes of Warner, Dhawan and Henriques in the top, the team doesn’t have good and famous middle order specialist batsmen to help the team in times of crisis.
  • There are too many domestic cricketers in the squad. Can they play well in the VIVO IPL 10? Only the time will reveal it.
